Ce soir là, rêver, c’était…
Trouver ce bungalow aux couleurs improbables dans un camping abandonné, couper des bouts de ficelle et du fil de fer, sortir les pots de verre. Installer les bougies, suspendre les lanternes.
Attendre le moment, l’heure magique juste avant la nuit, attendre ces minutes en équilibre entre le clair et l’obscur.
Rire des moustiques qui nous attaquent à ce moment si parfait. Les chasser, les oublier.
Regarder Simon vêtir son costume et sa casquette de gardien de la maison, le voir entrer dans l’histoire qu’on lui raconte.
Et puis se taire, écouter son histoire telle qu’il nous la raconte… Entrer dans son rêve.

That evening, the dream was…
Finding this unexpected little rainbow colored shack in an abandonned trailer park. Cutting bits of string and wire, and getting out the mason jars. Setting up the candles, hanging the lanterns.
Waiting for the moment, the magic hour just before nightfall. Just the right balance between light and dark.
Laughing when the moskitoes decide to attack right when it’s perfect. Pointlessly trying to drive them away, then forgetting the bites.
watching Simon putting on his jacket and hat, watching him become the gardian of the house, entering the story we tell him.
And then holding our breath, and silently watch him tell us the story of his dreams.
